Wisdom Beyond Words is a non-profit in the central Iowa area working to create "more informed and self-confident youth and adults." This up and coming company specializes in spoken word but is looking to continue with publishing, theater, and graphic design programs for youth. It's founder Mr. Robert Taylor, or Words, is an accomplished spoken word poet and author. He has peformed in New York and Atlanta to Chicago and Des Moines. The night ended with a performance from Abyss. You may have seen him on HBO's Def Poetry. He has also performed all over the country. He drove 18 hours for free to show up at this event! Plus, he had to drive another 6 hours after he left at 10:30 or 11:00pm. What an amazing thing to do and he put on a great performance.
